built from the ground up.

Years ago in Erie, our founder's son called pizza ippa (EE-pah) - and nobody corrected him. The name stuck, crossed county lines, and when it landed in Pittsburgh, we built something new around it.

Same name. Our story.

Pittsburgh is a city of steel bridges and front porches. It's tough and tender in equal measure. So are we.

ippa pgh started the way a lot of good things do: around food, conversation, and the kind of moments you wish lasted a little longer.

Whitney built her career in hospitality, learning what people want, how they gather, and what keeps them coming back. Lyndsey built hers in operations, turning complex ideas into things that actually work. Different paths, same standard - do things right, take pride in the details, and build something worth returning to.

Think of us as that tough-love relative who makes sure you're fed well. We take the familiar and treat it with more care, balancing high standards with the genuine warmth of a community kitchen - a kitchen wrapped in weathered  steel.... a brand rooted in people.

Because for us, this was never just about a menu. It's about creating a space for growth and connection - a place where showing up for a meal means showing up for your neighbor, your coworker, a stranger who won't be one for long.

We're building this for the long haul. Not just for us, but for the people of Pittsburgh who show up, support the work, and become the soul of what we do.

built to be shared. built to be remembered.

Whitney's been in the hospitality world for 25+ years - just about every corner of it. Country clubs, fine dining, casinos, sandwich shops, nightlife - if there's food and people involved, she's probably done it, and loved every minute.

Along the way, she’s led sales teams across foodservice manufacturing and distribution, working with everyone from major global brands to small, family-run artisans - helping bring great products to market and onto plates.

After years of learning from some of the best in the business, she decided it was time to bet on herself. In 2025, she started building ippa pgh alongside her sister Lyndsey - and hasn't looked back.

Whitney is endlessly loyal to Pittsburgh, fully convinced this is the year the Pirates win it all, and never skips dessert. She's drawn to the energy of a crowded dining room, great food, and creating the kind of moments that keep people coming back.

always moving. always about the people.‍ ‍

Lyndsey is the kind of person who can walk into something complex, build a system around it, and make it run better than it ever has before.

After 25+ years leading projects, teams, and operations, she learned how to connect people, processes, and real-world problems into solutions that actually work. Now she brings that same mindset to ippa pgh - trading corporate infrastructure for a mobile kitchen and making sure everything behind the scenes runs like clockwork.

What drives her most is people - understanding how they think, what they need, and how to create experiences that feel genuine. She's a problem solver at her core: the reason the plans come together, the details stay organized, and yes, the one keeping everyone in line behind the scenes (especially her sister).

Lyndsey is a true Pittsburgh boomerang - she couldn’t stay away. You’ll find her experimenting in the kitchen, singing off-key at a concert, or telling a story her family will insist went on slightly too long. Don’t worry - she’ll listen to yours.

serious when it counts. fun when it doesn't.
